OCCDs Warsaw Project on Kickstarter

March 2015

Over the last seven years, Orchestral Concert CDs has diligently attempted to bring a series of fine recordings to the classical music-loving world. And not just any recordings; we’re sure our listeners would agree that these are some of the best quality recordings ever made. One has only to look at the Reviews to appreciate the very positive impression our CDs have created with critics and customers alike.

Sadly, a fine-quality product does not necessarily imply a commercially successful one. When one is running a very small operation and has high-cost overheads, with rather limited sales, and when one’s recently-appointed international distributor goes bankrupt mere weeks after setting up an agreement and accepting the bulk of one’s stock… let’s just say that this is not a recipe for success.

Nevertheless, there are still some really wonderful and historically important recordings that we’d absolutely love to publish. However, unfortunately we’re just not in a position to ‘go it alone’ based on our own private funding and low-level sales. If the remaining recordings in our catalogue are to be released to the world, outside help will be essential.

Hence we have decided to turn to KICKSTARTER—potentially our last and best hope of publishing further titles. Please help us by pledging generously to our project.
